Emma Grace: 7 days old | Marrietta Newborn Baby Photographer

I am *very* behind on my blogging and I have so many beautiful babies, children & families to share with you so I promise to be better with updating my blog.  My little ones are out of school so they keep me pretty busy in addition to my wonderful clients here in Atlanta.

Yesterday I went to Marietta to photograph a beautiful one week old baby girl named Emma Grace.  I did her Mommy’s maternity portraits a few months ago so it was wonderful to see her again but this time as a Mother.  Emma was so cooperative and sometimes she would even pose herself.  Her Mom, Dad & Grandma were smiling so big and beaming with pride and already have so much love for their brand new baby girl.  Here are a few portraits from our session yesterday.  Welcome to the world Emma!

Sweeter Than Candy | Hermosa Beach Newborn Photographer

This afternoon I took a short drive down the freeway to beautiful Hermosa Beach to photograph a one month old baby girl. Oh my goodness we had so much fun, her parents had me laughing the entire time and they had a supply of freshly baked cookies standing by, yummy! It’s true what they say, time does really fly when you are having fun, they were such a beautiful family and just a joy to be around.

Little Miss Quinlan (isn’t that an awesome name) was a very good baby and she gave us plenty of sleepy shots and some awake ones too. I couldn’t have asked for more, she truly was a perfect little subject.

Thank you so much to Q’s Mom & Dad for having me over today for her very first portrait session and for being so sweet and kind to me. PS – those chocolate covered cookies are now on my shopping list and it’s all your fault! ;-)

Here are a few photos to share from our afternoon together…

I loved this little apothecary chest, I need one of these! Oh and check out how well she is swaddled, that’s courtesy of her Dad, he is the Yoda of swaddling.

Miss Q with her beautiful Mommy

Pretty in Pink…

With Mom & Dad and can I confess to how unfair it is to be that beautiful after you have just had a baby, goodness gracious, Mom was just glowing!

Just a lil’ bit

This afternoon I traveled to Pasadena to photograph a brand new baby girl. How new is she? Well she’s only six days old. She was so good to me, she maybe cried once and she slept like a baby (well I guess cause she *is* a baby afterall ;) ). One of the best parts for me was seeing her parents interacting with her. Shiloh is adopted and I cannot begin to tell you how lucky this little girl is. I think it’s safe to say that even though she’s not even a week old, she has her Daddy wrapped around her little fingers. I wish you all could have been a fly on the wall to witness how amazing her parents were with her. This family was so meant to be. There was love for this little girl in every inch of their home. It was one of those instances where I felt my heart soar and just felt so humbled to be a part of their lives even if only for a few short hours today.

Another thing that I thought was the neatest thing ever is the story of how Shiloh’s Mom & Dad met. Her Dad was traveling and he sat next to his future father in law on the plane. When the father in law returned home he told his daughter (Shiloh’s Mommy) that he had just met her future husband. He urged her to write to him because he knew that this man was the one for her. So she wrote to him and the rest is history. Ok I hope the way I told the story makes sense, if it didn’t, just trust me when I say it’s a cool story and it sounds much better when they tell it!

And I hear that Shiloh is going to be getting a visit from her Grandparent’s very soon. I can guarantee they will fall in love with her just like I did.

So here are a couple of photos from this afternoon, here is Miss Shiloh, she’s so beautiful and at day six she was already so full of personality.

And will you look at how happy they are! They could not stop smiling, this is what life is all about.

[...] I first met Shiloh she was only six days old and was such a sleepy girl.  This time she was a super cute toddler [...]

Oh so sweet…

One of the best things about being a photographer is that you get to meet so many amazing and wonderful people. It’s even better when you get to meet a baby! Babies are so soft, sweet and cuddly and they always smell so good. This morning I spent time with beautiful baby girl Ryan and her Mommy & Daddy. She is exactly 20 weeks old and she was such a good girl, she just laughed and blew raspberries at us the entire time. I actually wasn’t there very long because she was so easy! Not a single cry. My offer to babysit is still open, but I hear she has a Grandma who loves to babysit her and since she’s the only Grandchild I bet there is no short supply of hugs and kisses.

I can’t wait to see her in a few months when she is sitting up! While I was there she decided she wanted to roll over, she was so proud of herself! A special thank you to Ryan’s Mommy & Daddy for welcoming me to their home and being so kind to me.

And how cute is her belly? I love it!
