Celebrating Six

Today one of my very special little clients turns six. Now I’m sure you all will recognize him as I photographed his baby sister a few months ago when she learned to sit. I don’t get tired of telling you all how much I love my clients, when I see them again after a little while it’s like saying hello to old friends and we pick up where we left off last time. Mr. C and his little brother Mr. D still love to talk about poopie sandwiches and baby A still has that smile that lights up a room. Their Mom and Dad greeted me with their friendly and warm smiles that are so familiar and kind. I’m always sad to say goodbye and I always look forward to our next portrait session.

Their family has a tradition to have a portrait session on each of their birthdays to document the day and special time, on the actual day of their birthday. So today was about C and turning the big SIX. I told him he didn’t look a day over ten. Thank you to the W family for inviting me to your home again, it was wonderful to see you!!! Love their family tradition. I think that is a great thing to do , to document their children’s birthdays. More families should do that!

Newly Sitting

Just a little bit of administrative info before we get to the fun stuff! If any clients or potential clients left me a message in the past couple days and you have not heard back from me please email me. Today I had a ton of messages suddenly show up from my voicemail, starting from Wednesday on! Yikes! Not sure why they are being delayed in getting to me, I will be calling AT&T on Monday. I always respond within 2 days of getting a email or voicemail, so if you do not hear from me within that timeframe it means I did not receive your message or email.

Ok phew, serious stuff out of the way!

Today’s little client was just a short trip down the freeway to Manhattan Beach. Originally we were going to have this session last month, but I thought it was best we wait until their sweet baby girl was sitting and this past week she did just that! Newly sitting babies are my favorite age to photograph, which usually happens around 6-8 months old. They are always so happy and just excited that they can sit up on their own! They also do the cutest little rolls when they slump over.

Can I just tell you that this baby girl was soooo very good to me. I think we were done in less than an hour. Nothing but sweet smiles and giggles. She cracked herself up, she cracked me up and we both laughed at each other. She also had to little handsome brothers that I managed to sneak a few shots of them as well. Her Mom & Dad were so nice, I know I say this all the time, but I am so lucky, I have *the* sweetest kindest clients ever and I’m so thankful they choose me to come in to their homes and their lives.

I want to wear a tutu like this, however I don’t think I would look cute like she does, look at that smile!

Look how friendly she is, she’s waving hello to all of you out there!

Isn’t she beautiful? I told her Mom that she needs at least 10 more just like her!

Having fun at the beach

Another weekend has come to a close, phew it was a busy one! I’d like to say hello to all of my new friends that I made this weekend. I consider all of my clients friends because you all welcome me in to your lives and I appreciate that. My clients from this afternoon were some familar faces. We tried to have a beach session last month, however Mother Nature wasn’t so nice to us and it was rainy so we rescheduled for today. Again, she was playing tricks on us this afternoon and it was cold and overcast. When I got to my car and turned around the clouds parted and the sun came out. I think I need to have a talk with someone about this weather situation. That’s ok, we still had a good time and it was wonderful to see them again.
