BLASTOFF!!! It’s alive! My brand new website, just in time for my birthday! Head on over to the homepage and check it out and let me know what you think. Be sure and turn on your speakers, that first song is my son – I swear it’s the cutest thing ever. ;)

Oh and I have to announce the winner in the $34 Birthday Contest! The winner is blog reader Bunn S., and here’s what she said she would do with $34…

Now, what would I do if I win $34? Well, I’d definitely go shopping!!! But, only it wouldn’t be for me, it’d be for my 80-year-old mother-in-law whose milestone and 80s-themed birthday party is happening in less than a month! So much to do and so little time! And, with every formal event it’s the little things that ends up costing the most. But, that’s okay because it’s those little things that makes a big difference.

Congratulations Bunn, email me to collect your prize. I knew she was my winner for two reasons, anyone who throws an 80′s party is too cool in my book and I love that she is going to do something nice for her mother in law. My Gran turns 85 in December and I love it when people do nice things for her.

Here’s a photo that Bunn sent me, that’s her hubby with her

Just wanted to say how much I love the new look!

One year later

Don’t forget you have about six hours left to enter the $34 contest! (scroll down to Friday’s enter for details)!

This morning I went to see one of my little clients from last year. Last time I saw her she was just learning to stand up and she had very short hair and was very much a baby. Today when I saw her I could not believe how much she had grown up in such a short time. She is such a beautiful little girl and she reminded me of a porcelain doll. We had our session at her Grandparent’s home and wow, it was a photographer’s dream. Their home is registered as a historic landmark and there were so many wonderful spots to choose from. I was in heaven, such an amazing home and a very sweet family. It was great to see them again this year, that is one of my favorite things about my business, going back to see families each year and to see how their children have grown. I love it!

Here are a few to share from our time together this morning.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Ok now I have that song stuck in my head! Head over to itunes and buy it so you’ll have it in your head too!

This morning I traveled to almost Hollywood, which means Hollywood was just around the corner, so that makes it almost. ;) I met this beautiful little girl and her Mom & Dad and her two silly dogs.

We had so much fun and I loved how she was a little jokester just like me. She had lots of funny things to say and we laughed and acted silly! Check out what she looked like when I arrived:

Ok ok, they were wax lips, but it was funny! Thank you little Miss N and family for welcoming me to your home. I hope you enjoyed the Cinderella play this afternoon, I want to hear all about it!

Hi Angela- Nicole had so much fun with you today! It was wonderful to meet you and have you document this time in her young life (age 5). Cinderella play was great fun; Nicole passed out at 6pm after the exciting day she had. Love the pix!

Little Man

This morning I traveled to Hancock Park to photograph this little dude. He told me he likes monkeys so we made silly monkey sounds! He even picked a few flowers for me!

A Tater Tot

Don’t you love it when kids have really cute nicknames? This morning I traveled to Glendora to photograph this handsome little dude. His Mommy & Daddy call him Tater Tot! He loved to point and call everything dat. I loved how his two bottom teeth looked when he smiled and he had the funniest little grunting sound he made when he laughed. He is turning one in a couple of weeks! Here are a few shots from our session…

I loved his little bird shirt! His mom said it is from one of their favorite groups, I Googled and you can find it here.
