A Little One

Today I traveled to Long Beach to photograph one of my little clients that I met last year when she was only a few months old. Imagine how surprised I was that she was a busy active toddler, its amazing how time flies. Not only does she walk but she runs! Also she’s on her way to becoming a superstar! You’ll soon see her face in Old Navy ads and a few other big national brands (ok I cannot remember which ones her Mom told me but they are huge!). I can say I knew her before she was a world famous super model. ;-)

She LOVES to wave to everyone and she calls all animals Cha Cha and that’s because that’s her doggie’s name. So there is Cha Cha kitty, Cha Cha Doggie and I deemed myself Cha Cha Photographer. Catchy title don’t you think? Her Mom & Dad are such a joy and were just as sweet and kind today as they were when I first met them last year for our first photo session.

Here are a few from our time together this morning, look what a cutie pie she is and those amazing blue eyes she has just draw you in!

And this Binky Couture shirt cracked me up!

It looks like Cha Cha photographer did an awesome job capturing a very busy, and absolutely adorable, little girl! Amazing work Angela.

Oh man, she is a super model in front of your lens. What a sweetie pie.

Marlie's Mommy - March 19, 2008 - 8:07 am

Angela, These look fantastic, as always! I can’t wait to see the rest! Marlie’s on the back cover of the Right Start catalog; we received it yesterday. She was supposed to be the front cover model. She was robbed! Robbed, I tell ya!

Hi Angela

Thanks so much for the wonderful pics of my adorable niece, you really have an art to capturing her at her best! : ) Stacy

Last but not least…

Today I photographed my last two little clients for 2007. It’s been a wonderful, amazing, inspiring, absolutely awesome year. I can’t wait to see what 2008 has in store. Be sure to stop back by in a couple of days for my end of the year slideshow!

This morning I went to Montebello to photograph a sweet brand new baby girl. Now this little one is already one smart cookie. She knew that Santa was coming soon and she did not want to miss out on all those Christmas presents so she decided to arrive three weeks early. Her beautiful Mommy is in Grad school and it was the day of her final exam. That final would have to be postponed because little Miss Elina had other plans for her Mommy! By the time she arrived at the hospital she was 7cm dilated and her precious baby girl arrived a few hours later.

Here are a couple of photos from our morning together, she was so sweet and when she went to sleep she was so quiet and peaceful. Although her Dad told me that last night was a No So Silent Night ;) and she was up most of the night. Meet beautiful baby girl Elina…

This afternoon my little client came all the way from Indiana! I think she looks just like Dakota Fanning, don’t you? She reminded me so much of my little one, they are only two months apart too. Her mom had so many beautiful dresses for her so we made lots of wardrobe changes, that’s one of my favorite things to do! She was so cute and fun and she really loved to dance! She’s excited that Santa is coming soon. She had these amazing beautiful blue eyes that just sparkled when she smiled. Here are a couple to share from our time together this afternoon…

She looks like such a pretty princess here

I love your newborn shots, Angela! This little girl looks so precious! BTW, what lens do you prefer when shooting newborns? May I assume these shots were taken with an 85mm f/1.8? I need to get this on my Christmas list, too — is it too late??? =/

Meggan - December 23, 2007 - 11:42 am

Beautiful portraits Angela! What a sweet baby and I agree – that little girl does look a lot like D.F.

Sonya - December 23, 2007 - 2:27 pm

Oh wow! My babygirl looks so peaceful in these pics……….you couldn’t even tell that she was initially crying and was so fussy during the photo session. Thank you for the beautiful pictures:)

Hi Angela,
Thank you so much for photographing Lillian for us. Seeing the slideshow made us so happy. Thank you again, Jason, Megan, & Lilly.

The winner of the motorcycle is…

Heather K. of Manhattan Beach, California come on down and claim your prize. Ok really there is no where you need to come on down to, you just need to email me your name, address, zip, phone, shoe size, what you like on your ice cream, and what your favorite magazine is. Ok the last three you don’t have to do, I’m being silly! Send me your info so we can get that prize shipped out to you and don’t forget to send me a photo of them enjoying their new ride.

It was a tough choice from all of the entries, but the minute I saw her sweet baby in that bib I cracked up laughing, look at that smile, cuteness overload!! And check out her beautiful daughter who joined in the fun wearing her hometown on her jacket!

Thank you Heather and thank you to everyone else who entered. Stay tuned for the toypalooza to continue tonight (that’s Monday night), I have lots of cute things waiting to be won!

THANK YOU!!! I can’t say it enough… Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU to Angela (and New Star for donating this motorcycle)!!! My kidlets will be sooooooo happy! My daughter, Bella, was on my lap as I read this blog, and she said “Mommy, can I have it? Can I? Can I?” She was so excited and giggly, I thought, “hmmm… with that adorable face, who could resist?!” Thanks again to ANGELa and to my little babies, IsaBella and Harrison (cuz he was our “hairy son!) for being such perfect little models! By the way, Harrison is not wearing a bib… we put him in our Grocery Store bag! (I swear, it’s not a common practice… just for tonight!)

Love always,
Heather (a verrrrry grateful mom…)

A Friday Family

I completely forgot to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving yesterday! DOH! I hope you all ate lots of turkey, gave lots of thanks and spent time with the ones you love, I know I did!

This morning I traveled such a long long way, gosh I thought I would never get there. Ok I’m being silly, I was lucky today and I was in Rancho Palos Verdes so it took me a total of 4 minutes to arrive at my client’s home. I like that type of commute!

There were three beautiful children and their awesome Mom & Dad. We had a fun time and got some wonderful shots while we were at it.

Little Miss A totally stole my heart, when she and I were talking she told me that she decided we were friends, and that friends mean a lot to her. How cute is that? She reminded me of my own little girl, so full of life. Her brothers were total sweethearts too and such handsome little dudes.

Here are a few from our time together…

Giggly Pickles

This morning I traveled to Huntington Beach to photograph a beautiful four year old girl. She was so much fun and she loved to laugh. Now when I meet my little clients for the first time I know that I have to have a lot of stuff to talk about that they like. So today we talked about Hannah Montana, Shrek, Hello Kitty, Sponge Bob, cats Ratatouille and about 400 other things! When I started to take her picture we were talking about pickles! And will you check out the big smile she gave me when I was talking about them, who knew pickles would make her so giggly. She was such a sweetheart and her parents were so nice. Thanks for letting me spend the morning with you!

Ok so here is our giggly pickles shot…

When I arrived she had written my name on her easel, I thought that was really cute!
