Baby Anna

Today I traveled to Mableton to photograph a newborn baby girl who is only six days old.  I always tell my clients and potential clients that it is so important to have their newborns photographed within their first two weeks because it makes such a difference.  Anna was a true testament to that, she was so sleepy and laid back, I think I could have just sat and looked at her all day.  She almost shares a birthday with her Dad, so there were quite a few of us scorpios in the house today!  Thank you to Anna’s wonderful parents, they were amazing and so sweet and kind.

Oh, she is such a little heartbreaker at only six days old, here are a few from our morning together…

I love it when I catch babies mid-yawn, this modeling thing is hard work!

Baby Bryce

Remember a few weeks ago I posted a pregnant belly and told you all to guess if it was a boy or a girl?  Well baby boy Bryce came by the studio today for his newborn session.  I’m telling you, these Atlanta babies are being so good to me!  They are all so very very sleepy!  It’s so important for newborn photo sessions to take place within the first few weeks while the babies are still sleepy and bendy, and before newborn acne kicks in, so his Mommy and Daddy get a gold star for coming in asap after he was born!

Bryce was so cute, I think he was one of the most cooperative newborns I’ve met.  His big brother even flew in to town to be a part of our session, he looked so proud and happy to have a new little brother.  His Mom & Dad are so cute too, lots of smiley faces today from them.  They say pregnant women glow but his Mommy was just beaming, glowing, on cloud nine.  Bryce only fussed one time and his Dad talked to him softly and rocked him back to sleep.  I don’t know about you but seeing a Dad with his new baby is the coolest thing ever, it totally changes them.

Here are a few from our session this afternoon…

With his big brother

See what I mean about how sleepy he was, PERFECT!!!!

And with his beautiful Mama, she is so much fun, we just giggled the entire time.

Check out some of my favorite little newborns

PS - if you are feeling a little silly or nostalgic head on over to www.yearbookyourself.com for a little fun, 1978 is my favorite one and I think my hair actually did look like that in 1994.

Sweeter Than Candy

This afternoon I took a short drive down the freeway to beautiful Hermosa Beach to photograph a one month old baby girl. Oh my goodness we had so much fun, her parents had me laughing the entire time and they had a supply of freshly baked cookies standing by, yummy! It’s true what they say, time does really fly when you are having fun, they were such a beautiful family and just a joy to be around.

Little Miss Quinlan (isn’t that an awesome name) was a very good baby and she gave us plenty of sleepy shots and some awake ones too. I couldn’t have asked for more, she truly was a perfect little subject.

Thank you so much to Q’s Mom & Dad for having me over today for her very first portrait session and for being so sweet and kind to me. PS - those chocolate covered cookies are now on my shopping list and it’s all your fault! ;-)

Here are a few photos to share from our afternoon together…

I loved this little apothecary chest, I need one of these! Oh and check out how well she is swaddled, that’s courtesy of her Dad, he is the Yoda of swaddling.

Miss Q with her beautiful Mommy

Pretty in Pink…

With Mom & Dad and can I confess to how unfair it is to be that beautiful after you have just had a baby, goodness gracious, Mom was just glowing!
