Sam, Sammy or Samuel | Atlanta Baby Photographer

I recently photographed sweet Atlanta baby Sam in his home.  His Mom said that they call him Sam, Sammy or Samuel, I think we should just call him cute, because he was so adorable.  He’s *this* close to walking and the day I was there we thought he was going to start running around within a few days.  His Mommy & Daddy were amazing and were so in love with their sweet baby boy and each other.  I even hung around while he was having his lunch and captured a few snaps while he was eating, he even made lunch time a fun event!

What kind of lighting did you use to produce this type of photo. Natural lighting or a setup light. When you come across a client that does not have good lighting in the home what do you use? Especially when it is cold outside like now.

Baby Ian | Atlanta Baby Photographer

Smyrna Baby Ian arrived a little ahead of schedule so I had the opportunity to photograph him two times!  The first time was for his newborn baby portrait session and the second time was just a couple of days after Thanksgiving for an extended family portrait session.  You would not believe what a poser he is for being such a brand new little guy.  When we got to the part of the family session where I was photographing him with his Grandparents, Aunts and Uncle he would look right at the camera and pose, I don’t think I’ve had a newborn ever do that every. single. time.  I think he has a future as a model!

Baby Ian is such a blessing to his family as they have waited for him a long time, what a wonderful early Christmas present he is.  I fell in love with his family and even his sweet dog Tanner.  Tanner would come stand by me and nuzzle his head on my hand and wait for me to pet him. Then he would put his head on my leg if I was sitting down.  I’m pretty sure Tanner is one of my most favorite client furry friends I’ve ever met.  Thank you so much to Ian’s Mommy & Daddy for choosing me to document your lives during this very special time.

Here are a few images to share from Ian’s newborn session

Did I mention I fell in love with this family?  I sure did.

I couldn’t resist showing you Ian’s super cute cousins, this one was from the family portrait session a few days after Thanksgiving, aren’t they cutie pies?  They liked me because I had Smarties for them!

Her name was Lola… | Los Angeles Baby Photographer

This beautiful little baby girl that I recently photographed was close by in Redondo Beach. Her Mom and Dad had so many wonderful ideas for me and we had so much fun. Lola was a perfect little sweetheart and her parents are in trouble, cause let me tell you this little heartbreaker already has Mom & Dad wrapped around those little baby fingers. I loved all of her hair, she had so much and at the end we even spiked it up for a rock n’ roll shot! Thank you to Lola’s parents for being so sweet and kind to me, she is such a beautiful baby and the smiles on your faces when you looked at her were priceless!

Here are a few photos from our session that day.
Her nursery has a monkey theme so I made sure to get several shots working in her monkeys! Her Dad is from South Africa and she even has some monkey toys from there.

I loved how she was looking at her Daddy when we were getting ready for the next photo

Now you know I had to get a shot of her on the giraffe because the toy company I work for makes them! I was so excited to see that they had one!

Relaxing with her sweet Mommy and it looks like she’s giving me the baby power sign with her hand!

heart.breaker

Today I traveled just down the freeway to Torrance to photograph a handsome little three month old boy and his parents.  Let me tell you, he was so sweet and cute.  At first he decided he was sleepy, didn’t want any part of my picture taking nonsense so he decided to take a nap.  This little guy at the young age of three months has already perfected the fine art of power napping.  He napped for about 15 minutes and when he was done he woke up and was ready to go!  Man I wish I could do that!

His Mom & Dad, neighbors, Grandpa who was visiting from Sweden were all so in love with him.  I think at one point we had about 10 people oohing and aahhing over how cute he is!  Thank you to the B family for welcoming me in to your home and for being so sweet and kind, I had a great time and I hope you had fun at the park this afternoon!

Here are a few photos from our time together

Family of Three

Today I traveled to Beverly Hills to photograph a 8 month old cutie and his beautiful parents. He just recently learned how to sit up so he was so happy and ready for fun. I’ll be seeing him next month for part two of our photo session and he’s such a smart cookie I bet he’ll suprise me and be crawling by then! They were such a sweet family and take a look at how stunning they are, they made my job super easy. Thank you to the wonderful B family for welcoming me to your home and being so kind. I will see you next month!

I’m short on words tonight because my three year old decided to climb and get her craft scissors and cut her own hair. Oh boy there were tears (from me! ). I’ll share photos of that tomorrow.

Here are a few photos from our session this morning…

PamN - April 4, 2008 - 11:00 am

Ok fess up Angela – these are hired models, right? No young family with a baby looks this good. Where are the sleep deprived glazed stares? Where is the baby who is always smiley but then won’t smile for the camera? I demand the truth!!!

Julie - April 8, 2008 - 9:18 am

Stunning family and stunning images!
