Baby Lexi | Buckhead – Atlanta Baby Photographer

Today I traveled to Buckhead to meet five week old Baby Lexi and her parents. This little one was ready to party and did not want to sleep, I think she thought that we were going to have fun without her or something or maybe we grown ups were just so cool that she couldn’t miss a moment of anything. I think she really liked me because I was able to get her to fall asleep in my arms, I’m pretty good at the shooshing sound repeatedly (my white noise machine decided to go on vacation so *I* was the noise machine today, kicking it old school for sure ). She was so super cute and sweet, I probably could have just sat and held her all day. Thank you to Miss Lexi’s wonderful parents for having me over today, I appreciate your kindness and the good conversation. Here are a few to share from today:

Yesterday I visited little Miss Laura Beth and her parents. She just recently turned one and was one of *the* most cooperative little ones I have ever photographed. She was happy the entire time and had the best little disposition. I wanted to sneak her in to my camera bag and bring her home with me. She was quite the character and already has a fantastic sense of humor. She had the most amazing light blue eyes! Here are a few to share from our morning together…

For this shot I said raise your hand if you just turned one and then she did and showed me how old she was….ok not really but I loved how she was holding one finger up!

What is the best part about a portrait session with me? Why it’s the reflector that sounds like a DJ scratching vinyl. Yep we did a little DJ’ing and playing around with the reflector. Toddlers *LOVE* my reflector! Here’s a outtake from our playtime with it.

Today I photographed a sweet baby girl who just turned one. She is almost walking and just loved to stand up and laugh and smile. She was such a little cutie pie and so in love with her Momma. I love how happy she was and she really likes it when you sing to her. Her Mom showed me some photos of Miss J’s baby sister who is seven and it was amazing, I felt like I was looking at the baby sitting in front of me, not someone else. She looks EXACTLY like her big sister did when she was her age. Such beautiful girls, such a beautiful family.

Last but not least…

Today I photographed my last two little clients for 2007. It’s been a wonderful, amazing, inspiring, absolutely awesome year. I can’t wait to see what 2008 has in store. Be sure to stop back by in a couple of days for my end of the year slideshow!

This morning I went to Montebello to photograph a sweet brand new baby girl. Now this little one is already one smart cookie. She knew that Santa was coming soon and she did not want to miss out on all those Christmas presents so she decided to arrive three weeks early. Her beautiful Mommy is in Grad school and it was the day of her final exam. That final would have to be postponed because little Miss Elina had other plans for her Mommy! By the time she arrived at the hospital she was 7cm dilated and her precious baby girl arrived a few hours later.

Here are a couple of photos from our morning together, she was so sweet and when she went to sleep she was so quiet and peaceful. Although her Dad told me that last night was a No So Silent Night and she was up most of the night. Meet beautiful baby girl Elina…

This afternoon my little client came all the way from Indiana! I think she looks just like Dakota Fanning, don’t you? She reminded me so much of my little one, they are only two months apart too. Her mom had so many beautiful dresses for her so we made lots of wardrobe changes, that’s one of my favorite things to do! She was so cute and fun and she really loved to dance! She’s excited that Santa is coming soon. She had these amazing beautiful blue eyes that just sparkled when she smiled. Here are a couple to share from our time together this afternoon…

I love your newborn shots, Angela! This little girl looks so precious! BTW, what lens do you prefer when shooting newborns? May I assume these shots were taken with an 85mm f/1.8? I need to get this on my Christmas list, too — is it too late??? =/

Oh so sweet…

One of the best things about being a photographer is that you get to meet so many amazing and wonderful people. It’s even better when you get to meet a baby! Babies are so soft, sweet and cuddly and they always smell so good. This morning I spent time with beautiful baby girl Ryan and her Mommy & Daddy. She is exactly 20 weeks old and she was such a good girl, she just laughed and blew raspberries at us the entire time. I actually wasn’t there very long because she was so easy! Not a single cry. My offer to babysit is still open, but I hear she has a Grandma who loves to babysit her and since she’s the only Grandchild I bet there is no short supply of hugs and kisses.

I can’t wait to see her in a few months when she is sitting up! While I was there she decided she wanted to roll over, she was so proud of herself! A special thank you to Ryan’s Mommy & Daddy for welcoming me to their home and being so kind to me.

And how cute is her belly? I love it!
