Ava, Bryce & Gavin: One Year Later | Atlanta & Los Angeles Child Photographer

Last year about this time I had this wonderful client family that had a gorgeous three year old little girl named Ava.  They were expecting identical twin boys just a few weeks after I did their maternity session and I was lucky enough to get to go back for the newborn session.  This is one gorgeous family y’all (see the southerner in me is creeping back in to my daily vocabulary)!  Not only are they beautiful but they are such a wonderful sweet and loving family and I was thrilled when they hired me again this  year when I was in LA.  Miss Ava has grown in to a confident and spirited four year old who loves Hello Kitty and being silly and the boys, oh my goodness what a difference a year makes.  These two little heart breakers who were so tiny the last time I saw them, were now busy one year olds that cried when I started to leave.  Yes it’s true they cried when I was leaving.  Oh how they melted my heart.

Here is what they looked like this time last year:

Carson: One Year Later | Atlanta & Los Angeles Baby Photographer

Carson is another one of my adorable little Los Angeles clients that just turned one.  I have big plans for Carson, he just doesn’t know it yet.  I’ve decided that he is going to marry Quinlan (see the blog post prior to this one) and I’m going to photograph my first ever wedding when their big day happens.  Carson & Quinlan’s parents are friends so I think it would work out quite nicely!  Carson is such a little cutie pie and like Quinlan he isn’t walking yet but he’s so close.  His Dad has this really cool old Jeep that he restored and you know I had to incorporate that in to our session.  Carson’s mom has this amazing eye for detail and decorating, their home has so many great spots (we really took advantage of that with his newborn session).  This time we spent a lot of time outdoors since Carson is on the move.  It was so great seeing them again, such an awesome family that I adore.

Kimberly Hill - April 27, 2009 - 5:17 am

I’ll second-shoot the wedding! Those gorgeous kids, your personality, the laid back fun parents? Heck ya, I’m there!! I can’t pick a favorite and I’m not emotionally involved so I’m guess Mom & Dad won’t be able to either which equals an album. There, problems solved. :)

jennifer - April 27, 2009 - 8:22 am

omgoodness these are absolutely gorgeous, wow awesome session, I especially love the PJ’s shot and the car window shot!

Quinlan: One Year Later | Atlanta & Los Angeles Baby Photographer

I just returned home this evening from a wonderful week in Los Angeles.  While there I had the opportunity to photograph many of my sweet little clients from last year that I first met as newborns and have all recently turned one.

My first stop was Redondo Beach to photograph sweet baby Quinlan.  She is not quite walking yet but it won’t be long (look out R & T!).  The minute you walk in to the door she smiles and giggles and just melts your heart with her GORGEOUS blue eyes.  I’m telling you folks, no Photoshopping on her eyes, they really are that blue.  It is so much fun seeing how much she has grown in the past year, I was so excited when her parents asked me to come back again this  year.  I’ll confess to loving them as well, even though her Dad likes to make fun of me for going to see New Kids on the Block while I was in LA. ;)

Angela these images are just divine. She has grown up so much and her eyes are just so striking. I adore the first image of her on the bed, so sweet.

Dena Robles - April 23, 2009 - 3:37 am

It is amazing to see how much they change in one short year, but also how much they stay the same. She is completely recognizable from newborn to one year. I especially love your color images in this series.

Kimberly Hill - April 23, 2009 - 5:37 am

She is just gorgeous and those last two images are heartbreakers. Your Los Angeles clients are so blessed that you’re willing to continue to photograph their families. They understand quality and the intimate connection between a custom photographer and their clients. They won’t settle for less than the best. Mom and Dad think they treasure these images now, but when this little beauty is waving goodbye as she drives off to college, these image will be priceless!

Jennifer - April 23, 2009 - 6:53 am

Wow… that little girl is just delicious! You did a great job of capturing many aspects of her little personality.

Aunt Becky - April 24, 2009 - 2:19 am

Well, I am biased being Quinlan’s auntie, but there is no denying that you are a fantastically talented photographer and your ability to capture a child’s character is wonderful… especially for the family! These are great photos and they will be showpieces in the extended family’s homes!

MaryAnn - April 24, 2009 - 11:39 am

No wonder they asked you to come back to LA to capture their baby – these are absolutely to die for!!! How could anyone do better? I am in awe of your talent!!!!

Jane Eaton Hamilton - April 24, 2009 - 12:22 pm

Wow, these are lovely, Angela. She is so freaking adorable. That last one would be, like, 30×40 up on my wall if she were mine. (She makes me miss mine little.)

PamN - April 24, 2009 - 2:48 pm

Oh, this child is gorgeous! She will be easy to photograph as the years go by because she will know you! I hope her parents continue to have custom portraits made of her; they are even more precious as she grows!

Yoohoo Los Angeles…

I’m headed your way for spring portrait shoots April 17-22.  I have one, possibly two spots available, the rest are all spoken for.  Give me a shout via email if you are interested, just click the contact link at the top of the blog and enter your info!

While I have your attention, check out our newest family member.  Her name is Ripley!  Isn’t she a cutie pie?  She likes to eat sticks and random things, so it looks like here she was chowing down on some tasty spider webs and I caught her red handed, look how guilty she looks.  She is allegedly part beagle part dachshund, but I’m not so sure about that.

Kimberly Hill - February 23, 2009 - 7:35 pm

I still think her name should be Google but Ripley’s a good second choice. I’m going to give your CA clients another day or two to fill that slot, then I’m going to start calling my own CA friends to grab it. I can only be sweet and professional for so long!!

Dulce - February 23, 2009 - 8:28 pm

LOL, that IS a guilty look! and as the owner of two pugs I know a guilty look when I see one! :) She is so cute though, how could you scold her? :)

Kendell Silveira - February 23, 2009 - 10:05 pm

Ripley is a doll!!!

A Golden Day | Los Angeles Children’s Photographer

When I was in Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago I saw many of my wonderful repeat clients and a few new ones too.  The day that I visited the W family in Manhattan Beach we were surrounded by the Los Angeles fires to the north, south and east of us.  The sky was orange and everything was glowing and it made it really hot, it sure didn’t feel like November, more like July.

I think this is the fourth time I’ve photographed these kids and I just love them, they are so much fun and it’s neat to see how much they change each time I see them.  Little Miss A was just learning to sit up when I first met her and now she’s a toddler, time sure does fly.   Here are a few from our afternoon together.
