I’m sure my regular blog readers will recognize this gorgeous set of twins from the last time I photographed them. You also might recognize them as the Trick or Treating Ballerinas from Cold Case on CBS. They are so much fun to photograph and they have the sweetest little personalities. They have *the* most amazing, loving parents and yes I’ve adopted myself to their family (shh I haven’t told them yet). Here are a few to share from our afternoon together.

A Very Special Day | Atlanta Child Photographer

My good friends at the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House called and told me about a little boy who has been staying with them for the past two months. Today was his last day as he received the green light to go home, so I stopped by to get a few snapshots to document the occasion. His Mom said that she is so thankful for ARMH and it was a wonderful experience but she will be so glad to finally be home to her own bed. I can’t blame her, I think we all agree that there is truly no place like home, but like I said before, the Ronald McDonald House comes really close to being just like home.

Ty Christian just turned three years old and he was on the go today! He is such a sweetheart and had so much personality. I think he had a lot of fun during our time together, I know I did. Carson: One Year Later | Atlanta & Los Angeles Baby Photographer

Carson is another one of my adorable little Los Angeles clients that just turned one. I have big plans for Carson, he just doesn’t know it yet. I’ve decided that he is going to marry Quinlan (see the blog post prior to this one) and I’m going to photograph my first ever wedding when their big day happens. Carson & Quinlan’s parents are friends so I think it would work out quite nicely! Carson is such a little cutie pie and like Quinlan he isn’t walking yet but he’s so close. His Dad has this really cool old Jeep that he restored and you know I had to incorporate that in to our session. Carson’s mom has this amazing eye for detail and decorating, their home has so many great spots (we really took advantage of that with his newborn session). This time we spent a lot of time outdoors since Carson is on the move. It was so great seeing them again, such an awesome family that I adore.

Sean | Buckhead Children’s Photographer

This afternoon I traveled to Buckhead to photograph a super cute 19 month old boy named Sean. Like most little ones his age he was super busy but he was so much fun and he gives *the* best high fives around! I think we finished up just in time because the minute I got back home it started hailing gum ball and golf ball sized hail! That is a new one for us, I think we only saw hail once in Los Angeles and it was itty bitty.

This first shot below was taken when Sean and I were hanging out while his Mommy & Daddy were getting ready. I always adore shots of babies and kids just doing their thing, wearing whatever they would normally wear if they were just being a kid and not a photo shoot participant. Thank you to Sean’s Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt & baby cousin for being so kind to me and for being so much fun! It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. Yesterday I visited little Miss Laura Beth and her parents. She just recently turned one and was one of *the* most cooperative little ones I have ever photographed. She was happy the entire time and had the best little disposition. I wanted to sneak her in to my camera bag and bring her home with me. She was quite the character and already has a fantastic sense of humor. She had the most amazing light blue eyes! Here are a few to share from our morning together…

For this shot I said raise your hand if you just turned one and then she did and showed me how old she was….ok not really but I loved how she was holding one finger up!

What is the best part about a portrait session with me? Why it’s the reflector that sounds like a DJ scratching vinyl. Yep we did a little DJ’ing and playing around with the reflector. Toddlers *LOVE* my reflector! Here’s a outtake from our playtime with it.

Choo Choo Ben is Two! | Atlanta Children’s Photographer

On Saturday I traveled to Smyrna to photograph a very special birthday party for my new little friend Ben. He LOVES trains, so his party of course had a train theme. But wait….not only did he have a train theme, he had a real little train that gave all of the children rides around the neighborhood! Ok I want to be two because that was the coolest thing ever. Although Ben wasn’t so sure about that train, but he enjoyed watching it come and go and I think he decided to ride it too. There were so many beautiful children at Ben’s party and I think they all had such a blast. Ben’s Mommy is a wonderful party planner, I even told her she should think about doing that as a service for others, she has a really good eye for detail.

Shiloh | Los Angeles Toddler Photographer

When I first met Shiloh she was only six days old and was such a sleepy girl. This time she was a super cute toddler ready to take on the world. She fell asleep on the way to the session so she wasn’t so happy at me for a while, but my goodness she is such a little sweetheart, I wanted to take her home with me.

This one was from her snack break, she loved her green beans and I think her face explains it all, she did not want to be interrupted!

A Golden Day | Los Angeles Children’s Photographer

When I was in Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago I saw many of my wonderful repeat clients and a few new ones too. The day that I visited the W family in Manhattan Beach we were surrounded by the Los Angeles fires to the north, south and east of us. The sky was orange and everything was glowing and it made it really hot, it sure didn’t feel like November, more like July.

I think this is the fourth time I’ve photographed these kids and I just love them, they are so much fun and it’s neat to see how much they change each time I see them. Little Miss A was just learning to sit up when I first met her and now she’s a toddler, time sure does fly. Here are a few from our afternoon together.

frightful…but this little one was sooooo delightful. Ok so it wasnt really frightful but it was COLD, 27 degrees cold, that’s pretty extreme for my California blood.

This morning I traveled to Dunwoody to photograph this beautiful 15 month old girl. She was so cute, and had the biggest beautiful chocolate brown eyes! She was a talker too, I think she is really advanced for her age, she had quite the vocabulary.

Turning Three | Los Angeles Children’s Photographer

I’m back here in Atlanta safe and sound after spending the last week shooting in Los Angeles. I sure missed my husband and my children, and while I do love LA it is great to be back to my new home Atlanta. I have some emails to catch up on, so if you are waiting on one from me, I’ll be responding asap! It was awesome to see some of my LA clients again. Many of them I’ve had the pleasure of seeing every year since they were brand new babies!

Miss M has been a client of mine for three years now. It’s always so neat to see my little clients each year and to see how much they’ve grown since our last portrait session. Last year at this time she was shy, quiet and very reserved, this year she was spunky, talkative and so silly, we had a great time. She had a very special birthday party this weekend too, so this past week was very busy for her.

I’ll be sharing some sneak peeks of my California clients all this week. Here are a few from my morning with sweet little Miss M.
