NKOTB, New Kids on the Block. I know that all you girls out there in your early to mid-thirties probably won’t even admit to it, but I bet ya $1 that you were a closet New Kids on the Block fan. Which one did you like? I of course had planned on marrying Jordan or Jon Knight or maybe even Joey MacIntyre. This week on The Today Show they announced a reunion tour that will kick off in May. Who wants to go with me? I think my husband would never let me live it down if I went.
Enjoy a stroll down memory lane and watch this video for The Right Stuff. Oh oh ah oh oh, oh oh ah oh….. Don’t tell anyone but I was jealous of those girls in the video, I wanted to hang out with them and drive around in a convertible. Check out Donnie Wahlberg rockin’ the mullet in the video. Ok I have to go and dance now while no one is watching.

yup I sure did!!! Donnnie was my fav. “kid”…still is! Oh…and dont tell any one but they have been playing on my ipod all week.
OMG…… I grew up during that time, but I can’t admit that I was into New Kids. I was more of the Madonna fan. I literally wanted to be her!! I dressed like her, acted like her, and even had my hair like her. Geeeezzz….. I was a total loser!!
Oh yeah, I was a Jordan man.
Well, cough cough I am a little too old to want to marry them. My obsession was the Bay City Rollers. Maybe I should blog about them!
I can relate to the “crush” though
gee… thanks. Now I will have that song stuck in my head.
haha, I remember you had this obsession
They all look pretty much the same, don’t they? well…a bit older I guess.
Wee bit too old here too but yeah, I can dig the crush thing.
I was more of a Bon Jovi girl than a NKOTB girl but having just finally seen Bon Jovi in concert all of these years later, I encourage you to definitely go and see them. It’s good to relive your youth. Oh and I wanted to marry George Michael from Wham, not exactly sure what that says about me but I don’t think the marriage would’ve worked LOL.
OMG you know it, my fav was Jordan, he was so hot! Loved him! But I really don’t think that they will come back, their time is done and gone!
I am so there! Joey was my fave - we used to have birthday parties in his honor on December 31st.
LOL!
Hey, Jon Knight was mine — AlL MINE! haha!
Ahem….I called Joey!!!! I used to LOVE KNOTB!
I totally had to suppress a scream when they “unveiled” them on the Today show. Ok so maybe I didn’t supress it….maybe I just screamed. Does that make me uncool???
I am SO front and center at that concert!!!!!!!!
oh. oh. oh oh oh. oh. oh. oh. oh. oh oh oh oh oh.
the right stuff.
I was a huge Jordan and Jon fan! I am so excited! I saw them on the Today show the other day and actually cried! LOL
I actually never wanted to marry one of them . . . scout’s honor. I was too busy thinking I was going to move to San Francisco and get Brian Boitano to marry me. Clearly, I had bigger problems to deal with. ROFL
NKOTB was my very first concert … and my parents couldn’t stomach the idea of attending with me so they let me go along with my girlfriends. I’ve never screamed so loud or been as excited since. Fifth grade love … there’s nothing like it!
Oh, and Jon. It was all about Jon.
If Donnie brings his older brother Mark - I am sooo in.
I actually went as far as painted Jordan…. yes, on a canvas…. uh huh… Second in line was Donnie, but yikes on his appearance on The Sixth Sense…
Psst.. Susan - Mark is Donnie’s younger brother, don’t you remember Marky Mark? (Or am I wrong?)
dude! that’s heather McINTYRE to you! :o)
OMG! I am LMAO!! I was a HUGE HUGE HUGE fan. I mean.. for a kid growing up in India.. we didn’t really get to see the music videos.. i just had the tapes (remember those) and their posters plastered all over my walls!! This brings back so many memories. OMG.. I am become the old people you see in concerts concentrated clapping so they can say in tune. LOL!
I legitimately believed that I would marry Joe. I really, really thought I would. I imagined myself pregnant with his child on the NKOTB tour bus, and having to pull over so that I could go to the hospital and give birth to our child. Too much Doogie Howser, I think.
i was always a joey girl. still love him to this day.
