First off, no I did not go awol and join the circus! No I didn’t run away on a fantastic vacation. I’ve been here and I’ve been a very bad blogger updaterererer (I just made that word up). I’ve been so busy with clients, editing/proofing, kids going to school and we had 2 weeks where we were all sick. Things are back to normal now thank goodness, well as normal as they can be.
I have to share a funny from my son last night. So he comes up to me and says “Mommy how do you get pregnant?”. Oh man, why is he asking me this, he’s going to be 6 on Wednesday, darn it I haven’t even thought of a good answer for this and he’s asking me right now? I’m not even sure what I was about to tell him or how I would formulate my answer and I said Well….. and he cut me off and said: “I know Mommy, you can get pregnant on Ebay, they have everything!” Yes son, ebay does have everything. So now all of you in blogland are now privvy to this information, you *can* get pregnant on ebay.
Sharing a couple of “my” little people, we’ve been enjoying the cooler days and new activities that are going on here lately. My baby girl is starting ballet this week so she of course had to try on her gear and she refused to put on the tights, oh well. Check out how well she can Vogue. Little character! I took this first one with my handy point and shoot Canon SD800, its a great little camera to keep in your purse.

and here’s one of my favorites of her from this past week, ignore the crusty nose, she had a cold:

My little dude lost his second tooth this past week, earned his yellow belt in karate, started first grade, is turning 6 on Wednesday and got a hair cut. We weren’t thrilled that they chopped off his curls when we said “just a trim” but it’s not earth shattering and it will grow back. He asks me every morning if his curls are back, so I tell him almost.
This one was also taken with my little point and shoot camera.

My friend Debbie shared this with me, you have to watch it, it’s really sweet and boy can he sing fast!
I don’t know about you but boy oh boy can I relate to this, we go through this every. single. night. and morning with our two little stinkers.
Enjoy!

I’ve been tagged by a few other photographers - Season, Ashley, Heather & Amy and I’m just now getting around to it. I’m sorry yall, I’ve been a little under the weather, I wasn’t ignoring ya!
So I’m supposed to list 8 facts that you might now know about me.
1. I grew up in Nashville, TN
2. My Grandmother & my Aunt raised me
3. My first job was at Chick-Fil-A. It’s not as big out here on the West Coast as it is in the South, but boy oh boy it sure is yummy. They even have a scholarship program for high school kids and I was lucky enough to be awarded one of their scholarships for college.
4. I have a real live turtle named Herman. He is a box turtle and I’ve had him since I was in the 5th grade, which was way back in 1985. He lives at my Grandmother’s home in TN.
5. I cannot have my feet covered up when I sleep, it smothers me. I can’t wear socks while sleeping either. I get that from my Great Grandpa, he used to sleep with his feet sticking out from the covers.
6. I’m big foot. No really I am, I wear a size 10 shoe and I’m 5′11. That’s pretty tall for a chick.
7. It takes me 3-4 sittings to read a magazine. The first time I flip through and skim, the second time I flip through and read the articles that are hyped on the cover and the third time I read the really long articles.
8. I can speak German. When I was in high school I didn’t want to attend the school that was local to me so I figured out that if I took German (which wasn’t offered at my local school) that I would be able to transfer to the school I wanted to. Oddly enough German doesn’t really do me any good here in Los Angeles.
Phew that was painful and darn it now you all know how boring I am. Now I’m supposed to tag 8 other cool people! I’m so slow that I’m guessing some of them have already been tagged, oh well, once is never enough!
1. Theresa Stanton
2. Marci Ralph
3. Kimberly Hill
4. Heather Morrow
5. Jessica Grieves
6. Michelle Walker
7. Melissa DeMille
8. Traci Montarti
Seriously. Can I wish for snow for Los Angeles? Who do I need to chat with to make this happen? Mother Nature, are you listening to me? It’s your dear friend Los Angeles Children’s Photographer Angela Calderon calling. Can you hear me now? What about now? It was 108 today according to the outside thermometer on my car.
What makes a hot day better? Meeting two new little friends. This afternoon I spent some time with two sweet little ones and their parents here in Los Angeles. I heard through the grapevine that after I left they were going to get slurpees! I think that’s a great idea to beat the heat.
These two little ones were total cutie pies. Here are a couple of shots of my time with them today so you can see for yourself how sweet they are! Thank you so much to their Mom & Dad for welcoming me to their home today!
