Multiplicity

I often wonder if there is some magical little elf that visits my home and casts a spell on the clothes hampers that instantly multiplies the amount of laundry waiting to be done. It seems like I empty a hamper and wash it and it’s immediately full again. Part of the problem is my little one, who goes in to her room and changes clothes a million times a night. Every time she comes out she’s wearing something different, then she will put that outfit in the hamper and it continues until bedtime.

Now this elf theory does not work with socks because they go in to some sort of black hole where one of them gets lost leaving a single sock longing for a mate.

I know that when I invent the self cleaning house that the first thing that it’s going to do is the laundry. ;-)

Here are a couple from this weekend, isn’t she gorgeous? I’ve decided my son is going to marry her when they grow up.

Flashback Friday

Today I was talking to my assistant and we were trying to decide what songs we wanted to hear while working and we were both in a 80′s mood.  The first song we played was Huey Lewis & The News – Heart and Soul.  I pulled up the video on YouTube, and it said 1983, ok that made me feel old to know that song is almost 25 years old, seriously how did that happen?  Granted I’m only 33 (yes only, all you 20 somethings out there you’ll be 33 someday too) but that just makes me feel old to say that song is 25 years old and I remember liking it when I was young.

Anyway, misery loves company as I sit and wonder how in the world I’m 33 3/4, you all can enjoy a Flashback Friday with Huey Lewis & The News, maybe next week I’ll give you some Hall & Oates. ;-)

I have a confession to make…

It’s not easy admitting to this, in fact I’m almost ashamed to say it out loud.

I like watching Big Brother.  Phew, now that I have that out there. I know some of you are closet Big Brother junkies.  Tonight the new season starts.  This year you can also see Big Brother After Dark if you have ShowtimeToo.  Basically, it’s them showing the house and what is going on live from 12-3am.  I guess my Tivo is going to be recording that (although I’m usually up editing then).  This year’s twist is that they are putting people in and then their enemies will also be in the house with them.  Good times!

Click here to see the new cast: http://www.cbs.com/primetime/bigbrother8/

I expect my email to be filled up with people confessing that they watch it too! ;-)

I wish the suprise would be that they are having Evil Dr. Will back on for a 3rd season.  He cracks me up.

Happy Independence Day!

I hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July!  Also a special Happy Birthday to my wonderful Mother In Law.  My awesome friend Cheryl had a beautiful baby girl at 7:11 am this morning and I’m desperately trying to convince her to name her Liberty and call her Libby for short, how cute would that be?  If she doesn’t name her that maybe I’ll just whisper it to the baby when I see her in a few weeks!  Congrats!

Here are a few photos from tonight.  My Mother in Law’s building has a helipad on top and we went up there to watch the fireworks and it was amazing being up that high and being able to see for miles and miles.

I thought these next fireworks looked like dandelions in the sky!

My friend has a daughter named Liberty. His other daughters are Victory and Honor. No foolin’.

Some great shots here!

Do you hear that?

Listen closely….. can you hear it?  You don’t hear anything?  Well that’s why I’m over here turning cartwheels, ok not really, but I’m jumping for joy.  My son is spending the night at Grandma’s and my little one is asleep.  I have all of my client galleries posted that are due today and no editing that I have to do tonight.  It’s the sound of silence!  The crickets are chirping and I can hear them!  So I decided to watch a movie, I have The Holiday on DVD, yes I know it came out back in December so I’m a little behind but oh well, several of my friends said they loved it so I’ve been anxious to see it.  I loved it!  Shhh don’t tell anyone, but I even cried!  My husband was working on the laptop and he said that he was surprised and that it was actually good for a chick flick.  So that’s my movie recommendation for ya, check out The Holiday, Jude Law is pretty easy on the eyes so what more do you need ;) .  So I watched The Holiday on a Holiday (ok ok I know the movie is about Christmas).

I hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July!
