Pretty In Pink

Today I met this sweet baby girl, her parents and their super cute dog Cha Cha. Can I confess that it makes me smile when I say the dog’s name, I love it!

This baby girl is one of those where if you saw her in person your clock would instantly start ticking. Such a great little personality and she’s only two months old. Her Mom & Dad seem like seasoned pros instead of newbie parents. I could feel how much love there was the minute I came in the door. I know I’ve said it before but one of my favorite parts of my business is meeting so many different and wonderful people. I truly appreciate all of my clients for welcoming me in to their homes and their lives.

Here are just a few of our shots from today. I have a ton more to edit but I wanted to quickly share a few.

I hope everyone had a good weekend! What’s up with these crazy winds here in Los Angeles?

Cha Cha asked me if she could wear the tutu so I said of course :)

She was just having a good time and kicking her little legs

Just love your children’s portraiture work. You are one of Los Angeles’ premier children’s photographers IMO. Great work as usual.

Before you were even thought of God already had a plan He would send Two a little girl To raise by his command Even though we didn’t know it your name was picked out too So God could have his angels To guard and protect you. What a wonderful lil’baby. You guys are so blessed. Cha Cha is cute too. When a baby has a smile like that, you know the mom and dad are great folks.

Opening Day

My son is old enough for T-ball this year and today was the first day of their season.  I love how cute all of the kids looked in their uniforms, especially the little ones.

And my little one watching all of the festivities, she wants to play too, but she’s only 2 1/2 so she has to wait a couple of years.

Thank you to all my new friends!

I’m getting so many kind emails about my slideshow from the Haute Dog Parade this year from the owners who recognized their furry friends and from others who were at the event.  What a wonderful group of people!  I know for me pets have always been like family members and the letters I’ve received, the owners are so passionate and caring and have so much love for their dogs.  I’m touched by the many stories of dogs that have been rescued from shelters and are now in wonderful loving homes.  I’ll be seeing all of you in the fall, my kids are already talking about the Halloween Haute Dog Parade!

I just loved the dog parade! It makes me want to go out and buy a dog (but not necessarily dress him up).

Jinky - April 14, 2007 - 12:32 am

I adore you =)

As one of those avid dog lovers (we consider our doggie our daughter!) I am tickled pink to see your INCREDIBLE photography of all these sweet pups… will we be seeing a Pooches division of Angela Calderon Photography soon??

Chels - April 14, 2007 - 9:08 am

Love your new blog site!

Angela – Your blog looks fabulous :) I *love* your doggy photos – I’ve been trying to convince my DH for years to go to the Halloween parade – I think he’ll give in now after watching your show! Of course, with my 3 crazy canines, there is no way I can wield a camera – you are an excellent multi-tasker :)

woof!

Looks great. Your new blog suits you.

Lost

I know several of my clients are big Lost fans so I had to post about tonight’s episode.  Oh my goodness, the last couple of minutes……. wow.  I won’t spoil it for those of you who have it on your Tivo, but WOW!  I thought that the episodes here lately have just been ok (my husband says I’m crazy and they have all been the best ever) but tonight was a home run! I normally read spoilers but here lately I’ve tried to stay away and not spoil it for myself.  For those of you who do like to spoil it for yourselves check out www.spoilerfix.com

Lost is starting to lose me. I’m still there… waiting to learn more each week, but the itty bitty tidbits and nothing huge.. yeah, they’re driving me bonkers, lol!

Jenifer Samaha - April 14, 2007 - 4:35 pm

Oh my gosh, I spent the whole episode trying to decide what to believe and what not to and then once I’d made up my mind, they threw that at us! My jaw just dropped.

Therese Marie - April 15, 2007 - 9:30 am

I LOVE your blog. I agree that last weeks ending to LOST was great. But I also agree with you that this seasons is the WORST. I am getting so board and hope they answer more questions soon.

Hi,
I really like your portraits of the little girls modeling dresses. I do children’s photography myself, and was wondering if you could tell me what the settings on your camera were for these shots? the exposure looks really good. I can get it right in the studio but still struggle with outdoors/fill flash. Wonder if you have some helpful hints??
thanks,
sue

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had a wonderful day today.  This afternoon my husband and I took our children to the “Haute Dog Easter Parade” in Long Beach.  There were over 500 dogs dresssed up in various costumes for the parade.  My kids smiled and laughed so much and I think they probably hugged at least 499 of the 500+ dogs there.  We want to get a dog in a couple of years when they are a little bit older and can help take care of it.

I uploaded a slideshow so you can see all of the cute costumes the dogs were wearing.
