A Very Scary Morning

This morning I went to wake up my daughter to get her ready for preschool and she was not in her bed.  Here lately she’s been getting up and laying down in the floor next to her bed, but today she was not there and her blanket was gone.  I immediately started panicking.  I went in to the living room to see if she was there, nope.  I started calling her name and I was afraid.  I was afraid that someone had taken her away from me.

I was about to call my husband at work when I heard a little voice say here I am.  She had crawled under her bed.  I think my heart could not have possibly been beating any faster.  I don’t think I’ve ever been so scared in my life.  I never thought to check under her bed but from now on I will.

I don’t think I’ve hugged her as long and as tight as I did when she crawled out from under her bed.

I’ve had this on my mind all day long as I was working and so I just sat down and started Googling things about children’s photo identification.  I know it’s not something that we as parents want to think about, but it’s something that we *should* think about.   While I know that my daughter was in fact in our home, the things that were running through my mind when I couldn’t find her were horrific.

I visited the website for Lifeprints Software and it’s very affordable so check it out!
